You will have knowledge of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Rights and opportunities: <\/strong>Introduction to the role of interpreter\/companion for people with visual and hearing impairments, rights and opportunities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Optimal use of interpreters and escorts:<\/strong> different forms of communication, different needs and different interpreters<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Communication techniques:<\/strong> Practical exercises in using an interpreter\/companion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Barriers and strategies: <\/strong>strategies to overcome communication barriers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lessons learnt:<\/strong> Develop good knowledge of how interpreters and companions can support you in your everyday life.
