In Norway, people with deafblindness are entitled to such courses under the National Insurance Act, section 10-7. The right may also include close contacts\/relatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Customisation courses can be given both as group courses and individual courses. The courses can be held at Eikholt, which has national responsibility for customisation courses, at the user's home, or at the place of work or study. Customisation courses are given to children, young people, adults and the elderly in a lifelong perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who can benefit from customisation courses?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Definition of deafblindness<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Nordic definition of Deafblindness determines who can take advantage of adaptation courses. Deafblindness is defined as: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\"a combined visual and hearing impairment of such severity that the impaired senses can hardly compensate for each other.
