They show that people with visual and hearing impairments represent a diversity on a par with everyone else. We meet people of all ages and life situations who talk about their lives. The portraits give us unique insights into everyday life and what it's like to live with both visual and hearing impairment. The stories also provide an insight into the services that are available and show opportunities for coping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many of the people we meet in the book are active users of Eikholt's services. This shows that the work we do at Eikholt has value and helps to create independence and mastery. This is in line with the Eikholt model, which is based on person-centred rehabilitation, meaning that the user is at the centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We strongly recommend you to read this book.
