Stipendiet kommer fra stitelsen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dam.no\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dam <\/a>The budget for the project is \u00a3400,000. Eikholt is very pleased that LSHDB wished to be the responsible organisation for the foundation's application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Standardised haptic signals<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Haptics: Pocket Edition, or 'Haptic in your pocket' as we say in everyday language, is an app for learning standardised haptic signals. Haptic signals are a method for conveying information through touch, usually on the upper back or forearm. Haptic signals can supplement spoken or sign language, and they can be used to obtain information about surroundings, events, moods, people, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A more accessible and user-friendly app<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Eikholt took over responsibility for the app from Hapti-Co in 2025, and relaunched it with a new look and new functionality to make it more accessible and user-friendly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, the app is available in Norwegian and English. As of today, the app has been downloaded in more than 20 different countries. Through the project, the app will be made available in several languages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Haptic signals together with a guide dog and at a football match<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Text, images, video, and audio will also be created for haptic cues for guide dog accompaniment and haptic cues for use at football matches. Hapti-Co will assist us with this work, based on the Eikholtprojects.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eikholt.no\/en\/the-knowledge-vault\/mobility-and-orientation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Haptic communication and guide dogs<\/a>\" and \"<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eikholt.no\/en\/the-knowledge-vault\/boundless-sporting-pleasure\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Limitless Sporting Joy<\/a>\u00bb The technical work will be carried out by another of Eikholt's partners, <a href=\"https:\/\/sail.no\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sail<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Invitation to test the app<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eikholt.no\/app\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Than-brukt-pa-nettside-1024x683.png\" alt=\"Portrait of Thanh.
