Who is the course suitable for

This is a course for people with combined visual and hearing impairment. People with a combined sensory loss often find it challenging to encounter a society that requires them to be able to see and hear well. Constant application processes and other encounters with public systems can be unpredictable and difficult. The course is suitable for those who want to increase their knowledge of their own role in society.

Course content and objectives

  • Knowledge is power, and in this course we will learn more about public systems in society, to create greater insight, security and understanding. How does society meet us, and how can we understand ourselves in the face of society?
  • How can we influence and create change for ourselves at municipal level, but also at national level?

The course will build on season three of the podcast series iBlinde. Listening to the podcast series in advance of the course is encouraged, but not required.

Trainers: Magne Bolme and Sølvi Marie Risøy
