Eikholt is a resource and competence centre, with specialists in combined visual and hearing impairment/deafblindness. Our commitment does not stop at course activities and customised services for users. We are also committed to expertise development, research and dissemination. We want to be at the forefront, exploring new opportunities and developing new knowledge that can help change lives. We are driven by a passion to help and support people and we believe that no challenge is too big or too small when it comes to visual and hearing impairment.

We have extensive experience of working with people with combined visual and hearing impairment, and we recognise that this can pose major challenges for users. That's why we work closely with users and their carers to make everyday life with combined visual and hearing impairment as comfortable as possible. 

At Eikholt, we believe in seeing possibilities rather than limitations. We want our guests to feel at home and included in an environment that is dedicated to empowering them and their ability to live a meaningful and independent life.

We offer a wide range of services including, habilitation, rehabilitation, counselling, courses and training. Our aim is to provide all our guests with a safe and caring atmosphere that helps them develop and improve their quality of life. 

In addition to being a resource centre for users, Eikholt is a centre of expertise with broad knowledge of visual and hearing impairment/deafblindness. We work continuously with competence development, research and dissemination. At Eikholt, we recognise the potential in each individual, and we share and develop new knowledge and explore new opportunities.

Our courses and services are free for users and their carers. NAV also covers travelling expenses and the cost of a companion when necessary. 

We are happy to provide advice, guidance, teaching and lectures to professional environments and professional programmes throughout the country.
