Audiologist – new permanent position at Eikholt

About the position

The role is part of Eikholt’s specialist department and will play a key part in the work of assessing, supporting and following up on individuals with combined visual and hearing impairments. With us, you’ll have plenty of time for each course participant, who will be supported over several days during their stay at Eikholt.

You will be part of an interdisciplinary vision and hearing team. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with others, and involves close interaction with audiologists, opticians, vision educators, mobility advisors, IT advisors, healthcare professionals, and peer support workers, among others.

You will work with:

  • Mapping and assessment of hearing and hearing function
  • Follow-up and optimisation of hearing aids
  • Facilitation of the sound environment and communication situations
  • Guidance and training for course participants, close contacts, and professionals
  • Contribution to individual and group-based adaptation courses
  • Interdisciplinary rehabilitation work
  • Testing and evaluation of technology and technical solutions
  • Documentation and professional development
  • Contribute to development work and knowledge sharing

The place of work is Konnerud, but some travel must be expected.

Qualifications

  • Authorisation as an audiologist
  • Clinical work experience
  • Interest in rehabilitation, communication, and technology
  • Good oral and written communication skills in Norwegian.
  • Generally good digital skills
  • Driving Licence Category B

It is an advantage if you have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Hearing aid fitting and hearing technology aids
  • Rehabilitation and habilitation
  • Sight and hearing combinations / deafblindness
  • Guidance or teaching
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Technology and digital aids
