Haptics: Pocket Edition – now with more languages, new signals and features!
Haptics: Pocket Edition has been updated! Now you get more languages, more haptic feedback and new features that make the app even easier to use.
Haptics: Pocket Edition updated with 10 languages and new haptic signals
Users in over 30 countries are already using the app, and many have asked for more languages. It is therefore a pleasure to announce that you can now choose between ten languages: Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Arabic.
Over 80 new haptic signals
The new version also contains more than 80 new haptic signals for guide dog accompaniment and signals that can be used at a football match.
Eikholt has developed these new signals through previous projects. You can read more about the projects here: Haptic communication and guide dogs and Boundless sports fun.
Better user experience with new features in the app
We've also made some improvements to the app. Now you can:
- Add signals directly from signal lists
- Swipe between signals when browsing a signal list
The update makes haptic signals available to even more people, in more languages and in more situations.
Together with LSHDB – National Association for Combined Sight and Hearing Impairment and Hapti-Co Eikholt has developed the new version, with project funding from The Dam Foundation. Sail has developed the technical solution.
How to update the app
- Go to Google Play or the App Store
- Find the app Haptics: Pocket Edition
- Press 'Update'
If you have automatic app updates enabled, you do not need to do anything. The app will then update automatically.
