Kristin Ørmen Johnsen is new chairman of the board at Eikholt

As chair of the board, Kristin will be responsible for an organisation with exciting development opportunities. Eikholt National Resource Centre for Deafblindness is a non-profit foundation and has a nationwide assignment as a centre of expertise in the National Competence Service for Deafblindness. The centre has 30 employees who, in addition to their clinical activities, are involved in research, innovation and dissemination of expertise at home and abroad. Eikholt has a cooperation agreement with USN and participates in international research collaboration.

Kristin Ørmen Johnsen has shown great commitment to Eikholt on several occasions, not least while she was a member of parliament. The competence service for deafblind people is to be evaluated. This may result in changes that will also have consequences for Eikholt. That's why working on a strategy for the further development of Eikholt will be one of the first things Kristin will embark on together with the board, management and employees at Eikholt.

"We're very pleased to have Kristin Ørmen Johnsen on board. She is now a senior advisor at the University of Southeast Norway.
