The sound makes the music!

At the beginning of February, I attended music days at Eikholt, for people with acquired deafblindness. It was an unforgettable experience! We are looking for Caretaker 100% with the possibility of permanent employment

We are looking for an efficient, accurate and independent caretaker. We are looking for someone who has good technical building knowledge, the ability to see what needs to be done, is efficient and a good team player, and is good at order and tidiness. The position is initially 100% temporary, but with the possibility of permanent employment.

The Eikholt test on the front page of Audiografen

The trade magazine "Audiografen" has featured the development of the Eikholt test.

The family course 'Life with Usher' will take place from 10 - 14 August.

The aim of this course is to get to know other families in the same situation. Adults, adolescents and children will receive a tailored programme. It is an opportunity to meet other mums, dads and siblings of a child with Usher through various topics, conversations, games and activities.

We are looking for an ICT operations manager with good collaboration skills

We are looking for an ICT operations manager who will participate in the further development of Eikholt. This is a position that the right person will be able to help shape. The centre is equipped with audiovisual equipment and ICT solutions that make the centre well adapted for the target group. Come and join our team and ensure good solutions for both our visitors and your colleagues.

We are looking for Environmental worker

One of our main tasks is to organise both individual and group courses, over one or more days, for users and family members. Eikholt is also a meeting place for our users and we place great emphasis on creating a vibrant arena where meeting others in similar situations, exchanging experiences and socialising have an important psychosocial value. We are therefore looking for a motivated, flexible and conscientious environmental worker/activator.

Kristin Ørmen Johnsen is new chairman of the board at Eikholt

On Monday 13 December 2021, Kristin Ørmen Johnsen was elected as the new chair of the board of the Eikholt National Resource Centre for Deafblindness Foundation. Kristin Ørmen Johnsen has a broad background of experience. She has been rector of Buskerud University College (now the University of Southeastern Norway - USN), state secretary and member of parliament for two terms. She was also a member of the Health and Care Committee during her first term in Parliament.
