Successful National Interpreting Conference in Haptic Communication
Hapti-co provided the professional framework for the haptic system, and experienced users of haptic communication shared their experiences. The topics were practised, tested and discussed in various working groups: Haptic with a guide dog, haptic in training and yoga, the use of haptic in outdoor life, haptic to describe sports events, and in work situations when tactile sign language interpretation can also be combined with haptic.
Such a meeting place for interpreters for professional refreshment, exchange of experience and discussions was considered very useful and described as highly anticipated. The newest interpreters thought it was great to get to know each other and make contacts. The general tone was that people wanted more conferences like this for professional development.
