Method for 3D-printed sign language alphabet well received
Eikholt's audiographers Rolf Mjønes and Anne-May Førland have this week participated in the "Tactile Reading" conference in Amsterdam. Here they presented the project "Method for scanning and 3D printing of the two-handed alphabet". The conference has over 500 participants from all over the world. User survey 2025 gives Eikholt good feedback
The 2025 user survey gives Eikholt good feedback. The aim of user surveys is to map the quality of services provided to users, reputation and how satisfied users are with Eikholt in general. This year's survey achieved a response rate of 44%, which is good for this type of survey and at the same level as in 2023. We are looking for a professional with a background as a sign language interpreter and experience of working with combined sensory loss/deafblindness. You must want to work innovatively with professional and service development and close user contact. Perhaps you also have interests and hobbies that could be useful in our courses? Svein is committed to social policy
Svein Fossum lives in Hønefoss. He is known for his involvement in socio-political issues and is therefore not completely unfamiliar with the political world. He is one of the participants in the group course who has discussed and prepared topical issues for meetings with politicians in Parliament. Here he gives you an insight into what such a group course can contain and how he helped to prepare and provide input to politicians from several parties.

"Now it's good to have filter glasses". These are the words of Astrid Helene Furulund. She is an active lady with a combined visual and hearing impairment. Astrid has been wearing filter glasses for the past five years. She thinks more people should have access to them. But what are filter glasses and how do you go about getting them?

Today, 13 January 2025, a user survey will be sent out to everyone who received NAV adaptation courses from Eikholt in the last half of 2024. The user survey is anonymous. We hope that as many people as possible will take the time to respond.

Aashild, Turid and Ruchipa enter retirement
Three wonderful ladies, who have not only been colleagues, but also friends and supporters to many, are retiring from the New Year. Their retirement is what we call a celebration of dedication for people with combined visual and hearing impairment.
