The Eikholt model is launched

Eikholt has existed for more than 40 years and has been involved in continuous development in line with society in general. We have now launched our own Eikholt model that describes our practice, why we do what we do and what we want to be for users and their carers. This is an endeavour in which all Eikholt employees have participated, well led by Rolf Lund, Ann-Britt Johansson and Thomas Øverby. We are very proud to present this work, which emphasises Eikholt's values of Safe - Competent - Creative, frames our rehabilitation perspective and, not least, that this work is based on user feedback.

Time for us - a report on courses for carers, couples and families

When you think of your family, who do you think of? You might choose a few or many family members. Maybe you write down one of your siblings or cousins, but not all of them. Maybe a good friend joins your family map? Who is defined as part of our family varies according to the time and culture we are part of and is therefore different for everyone. At Eikholt, we have programmes for couples, families and close individuals.

What do I need to know about the corona vaccine?

Norway's population is now being offered corona vaccination. The vaccine is free and voluntary. Your home municipality is responsible for offering the vaccine, and it is the municipality that organises how it will take place. Information about vaccination can be found on your municipality's website. There you will find how the vaccination is organised locally, when and what priorities have been set.

Vaccination of people with visual and hearing impairment/deafblindness - information for municipalities and vaccination personnel

The preparations for the vaccination, the actual implementation and the necessary information must be organised for people with combined visual and hearing impairment/deafblindness. Therefore, the National Advisory Service for Deafblindness has created this guide for all those who contact us for vaccination and who will carry out the vaccination itself.
