Eikholt is looking for a vision and mobility counsellor

Do you want to help develop a unique rehabilitation programme for people with combined visual and hearing impairment/deafblindness? And do you find collaboration with other professional groups inspiring?

We are looking for an employee who can contribute to our adaptation courses in vision and mobility. We are looking for a professional who wants to work innovatively with professional and service development and close user contact. Perhaps you also have interests and hobbies that can be utilised in our courses?  

Work tasks:

• Mapping of visual function and rehabilitation needs   
• Planning and implementation of customisation courses, individually and in groups 
• Implement visual education measures
• Be up to date and utilise new technology within vision, orientation and mobility
• Guidance for users, carers and professionals
• Contribute to professional development and project work
• Collaboration with specialised environments nationally and internationally 

Some travelling must be expected

We are looking for you who : 

• Educated as a vision educator or other relevant higher education in vision or special education

Desired qualifications:

• Expertise and experience in mobility and braille training
• Experience from vision education work or rehabilitation
• Are development-oriented and curious about technology
• Sign language skills are an advantage, but not a requirement. Training is provided
