What are filter glasses and how do you get them?

"Now it's good to have filter glasses". These are the words of Astrid Helene Furulund. She is an active lady with a combined visual and hearing impairment. Astrid has been wearing filter glasses for the past five years. She thinks more people should have access to them. But what are filter glasses and how do you go about getting them?

Eikholt test version 2.0, new features and improvements

One of the most important topics he will take home from this conference is the Scripor alphabet, a tactile colour alphabet. Throughout much of Eikholt's history, Kjell-Henrik Hendrichs has been a pillar in the dissemination of knowledge about Norway and the world through thematic courses. His communication has enriched and left its mark on the everyday lives of many people with combined visual and hearing impairments.

Meet Dina, a 23-year-old student at NTNU in Trondheim, in her final semester of the Bachelor of Norwegian Sign Language, Professional Programme in Interpreting. With a background in drama from high school and NTNU, she has always had a love for practical subjects. Now she is on her way to completing her education and becoming a professional interpreter. She talks about her choice, about being an interpreting student and what practice has meant for her learning.

Rolf Lund from Eikholt was invited to present a project the research and development department at Eikholt is working on at the international conference Warsaw Vision 2024. As many as 700 participants were present from all continents of the world.
