Theme course C - two parts

"We, society and systems"
People with a combined sensory loss often find it challenging to interact with a society that requires them to be able to see and hear well. Constant application processes and other encounters with public systems can be unpredictable and difficult.
Knowledge is power, and in this course we will learn more about public systems in society to create greater insight, security and understanding.
Course instructors: Magne Bolme is a senior lecturer in history. He was born blind. Sølvi Marie Risøy is an associate professor of social sciences at Western Norway University College (HVL). She became blind and then deafblind as an adult. Both have extensive experience as interest group politicians.
- How does society meet us, and how can we understand ourselves in the face of society?
- How do we understand, navigate and relate to the systems at municipal, regional and state level?
Target group:
The course is suitable for those who want to increase their knowledge of their own role in society.
