Who is the course suitable for

The course is for you who have a combined vision and hearing impairment and who wish to be challenged on how other people may perceive you in various situations. If you wish to become more aware of how you express yourself and are perceived by others, this course will be useful for you.

Course objectives and content

The aim of the course is for you to gain knowledge of how your body language and your way of communicating affect you and those around you. How are you perceived by others? Can you do anything about it, and what? Situation descriptions, role play and reflections on everyday encounters will be central to the course.

• Mentalisation: Understanding one's own and others' thoughts, feelings and needs
• How do we perceive each other in communication?
• Identity and self-determination: Who am I and how do I wish to present myself to others?
