A portrait series about everyday life with visual and hearing impairment

In this series, you'll meet people with combined visual and hearing impairment. They share their everyday lives and what it's like to live with visual and hearing impairment. The aim of the series is to increase knowledge about living with combined visual and hearing impairment/deafblindness, and to show the diversity this group represents.
Episode 1: The quest for mastery
Eirik works as a senior network and IT security consultant at Netpower IT Solutions. He is deafblind and has Norwegian sign language as his first language. None of his colleagues know sign language. Nevertheless, he chose this job over his old position as an IT consultant in a sign language work environment. "It's about mastering new challenges and being recognised for who you are.
Episode 2: The volunteer heart
Kari was 24 years old, a mother of young children and pregnant when she was diagnosed with Retinis Pigmentosa. She was going to lose her sight, but couldn't imagine a life as a blind person. But over time, she found a community of like-minded people.
Episode 3: On the right track
Father of young children Ståle Hatlelid has Usher I syndrome. He was born deaf and knows that one day he will lose his sight. As a child, Ståle was always fascinated by anything to do with transport, and as an adult Ståle has found a job and a working environment where he can do what he loves.
The series "Nothing seen, nothing heard" is created by National Association for Combined Visual and Hearing Impairment (LSHDB) with the support of The Dam Foundation, and produced by Supervisory.
The episodes are posted by agreement with the licence holder, and more will be posted on an ongoing basis.
