CBS is characterised by simple and complex hallucinations.
Simple hallucinations can be geometric shapes and patterns, while complex hallucinations can be people, faces, animals and plants. CBS can occur when vision is reduced and the brain receives less visual information. The brain then creates its own visual impressions.
