Who is the course suitable for

This is a course for people who have combined visual and hearing impairments. You use sign language and want to learn more about tactile sign language and the transition from visual to tactile sign language.

Course objectives and content

When vision changes, it can be difficult to understand visual sign language. In some situations, tactile sign language can be useful. In this course, you will receive a basic introduction to how to use tactile sign language for both reading and two-way conversations. The course includes both theory and practice. You do not need to use tactile sign language all the time to benefit from the content of this course.
